About

Facebook Developer Garages are just like they sound – a place to explore, get gritty, tinker, experiment, and test out ideas for Facebook Platform. Being in the Garage is all about participating, getting your hands dirty, and exploring fresh ideas and solutions. Garages should encourage community involvement and incorporate presentations by participants.

#001 — Federated auth, friends lists, and wall publishing in a Python application.

with David Wilson (@davidbelfast)

A technical walk through covering the use of Facebook for federated authentication, fetching a user's friends list, and publishing to the user's wall from a Python web app using PyFacebook and Google AppEngine. If time & resources permit, we'll also cover bare-bones integration of the application as an IFRAME-based canvas application.

About David — David is an independent developer currently involved with an interactive media project. Prior to breaking into web applications, he served as a systems engineer at a number of local ISVs as well as several globally recognized Internet companies.
